Deacon Dan was born in Elmira, New York, and graduated from the State University of New York at Delhi, New York. He worked for the New York State Office of General Services in Albany for 33 years before retiring. Dan was the only deacon ordained in October 1998 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, by Bishop Howard J. Hubbard, the Bishop of the Diocese of Albany, New York. His diaconal assignments have included St. Francis de Sales Church in Troy, New York from 1998-2009. Dan’s wife, Mary, served as parish secretary and as youth minister for a total of 20 years. Dan also served at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet, New York, Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home and Bethany Hospitality Center for the homeless, both in Troy, New York.
Dan joined St. Edmond’s parish in October 2009. He and his wife have three children and are active in a number of our parish programs and activities.
