Deacon Bob Leonzio
Deacon Robert Leonzio, "Bob" is a native Delawarean who was born in Wilmington, and who lived most of his life in the Wilmington and Southern Chester County area. He is a Vietnam Era veteran, entering the U.S. Navy immediately after graduating from Brandywine High School in 1963. He is a honor graduate of Goldey Beacom College with a degree in Business Management, and a graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Psychology. Bob retired from Dupont after 27 years of service and then became a Training Specialist at the University of Pennsylvania. Before moving full time to Rehoboth, he was Director of School-Based Services and Teacher in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for adolescents in Wilmington. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon by Bishop Saltarelli in 2001. Bob came to St. Edmond from St.Anthony of Parish in Wilmington where he was a Parishioner for 25 years, and served on the Staff as Director of Outreach Services after ordination. He was also involved with multiple ministries there, including the RCIA, other Liturgical ministries and the Italian Festival.
Bob has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
