Corpus Christi Procession

Please join the Knights for our Annual Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 22, following the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Fathers Cocco and Emmanuel will be leading the Knights and all parishioners on this wonderful and spiritual procession.

After Mass, we will process down to the Boardwalk and to the Bandstand where there will be a blessing with the Monstrance with songs by our parish choir. After the blessing, we will walk down Rehoboth Avenue to 1st Street where we will turn toward St. Edmond. Please plan on joining us for this important public display of our Catholic faith in support of the Holy Eucharist on Corpus Christi Sunday.

Celebrated in the Church since 1264, Corpus Christi began after a miracle in which a priest, who doubted the True Presence in the Eucharist, had the host bleed one day as he celebrated Mass. The corporal on which the host bled is still visible today in the Cathedral of Orvieto, Italy.
