Juneteenth

The Parish Office will be closed Thursday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth celebrates June 19, 1865, the date enslaved people in Galveston, TX, finally received the news that they were free. Juneteenth became a federal holiday in 2021 when the National Independence Act was signed, it commemorates the end of slavery in the USA. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday, and we pray for an end to slavery globally.
